Solar Storm

We are excited to host the public book launch for Solar Storm, a fast paced dystopian story full of danger and intrigue.

Author Sacha Webborn and Illustrator Thomas Webborn will visit Pickering Book Tree for an immersive event tied to the novel’s recent publication.

While the book is aimed at Young Adult readers, the event is suitable for all ages (younger and older). Everyone is welcome!

Sacha and Thomas are also musicians, and the event will include a live performance of music composed especially for the book.

Under a volatile sun, a massive solar storm has downed global power grids and taken the entire world offline.

Seventeen-year-old Solemn will always keep her memories, but everyone else she remembers is gone. Her parents, her boyfriend, Ash, and billions of others on earth, have all lost their memories to the geomagnetic disruptions of the storm.

As Solemn searches for her own voice, will she ever find a freedom that is truly free, or did the solar storm destroy everything? 

The event will include live music, a reading from the book, and the chance to ask questions about writing and illustrating.

Doors will be open from 6pm for a start time of 6.30pm. Tickets are free, but spaces limited so book early to guarantee a seat. We hope to see you there!
