We’re delighted that Liz Vowles is leading an additional Castle Yoga session for the Summer Solstice as part of the Midsummer Festival.

Pickering Castle is a wonderful outdoors venue for these classes, which are running monthly until September (more info here).

As the solstice sun climbs high over the ancient walls of Pickering Castle, join us for an outdoor yoga class that marks the turning of the year — a moment to breathe, ground yourself, and soak in the pure summer energy around you.

This is yoga as it was always meant to feel — unhurried, connected to nature, and completely alive. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or simply curious, you’ll move through a mindful, accessible sequence designed to open the body and still the mind, all within the beautiful medieval fortress.

Arrive in time for the start time of 10am.

At the end of the practice, you are invited to stay and enjoy the castle grounds at no extra cost (entry to the Castle for participant only).

The session will be held outdoors in the grounds of Pickering Castle, unless the weather is very poor in which case it will take place undercover.
